Do not cover the bad breath.
The rinses like Listerine, as its advertising suggests, do not cover the bad breath, acting as destroying the bacteria that cause it also helps prevent gum disease. Many mouthwashes only cool bad breath but do not destroy bacteria. Of course if there are problems in the gums or teeth dentists treat specific problem. Dentists also available (and sold in the U.S.) some special brushes for cleaning the teeth, tongue cleaners and sprays to control bad breath. Bad breath can also be due to problems with digestion. Some foods can cause bad breath such as garlic and onion.
